Dawes Arboretum


Looking for a place to see the changing leaves? The Japanese Garden at Dawes Arboretum is always a serene setting, and the gold and auburn leaves reflecting off the water are striking. The 1,800 acre arboretum is 35 miles east of Columbus and is an amazing place to visit any time of the year.

Wind Power

German Government Continues To Drive Green Renewable Energy
Check out the Buckeye Wind Project. If their proposal is approved, they will be installing 70 wind turbines in Champaign County. The turbines would power close to 50,000 homes. The Buckeye Wind Project is being developed by a New York company called EverPower Wind Holdings, Inc. The company has received over $42 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act renewable energy program.
